Odd External DNS issue..

Ha that was quick!!! bang on there JCBeard!!

Had wireshark running and no matter what i did, I could send DNS queries but never got any reply... told the tech this, and he suddenly had an idea to check the firewall's "dns proxy"...

I dont understand exactly what it is.. its not a forwarder, but i guess its a store-forward caches that takes a dns request, checks it, and then sends it on its way....he seems to think it's getting "bogged down"

he set up a bypass for this and magically it all started working...  still too early to see if that was THE fix.. but seems to make sense.... needless to say the manager is not too thrilled that we paid a good bit of money for sometihngs thats crashed out within a few months.
